Get to Know Sao Paolo, the Mainly Capital of Brazilian Culture

Sao Paolo is one of the Brazil states located in the southern part of the country. In Sao Paolo, we can find many interesting places and events such as theater, shows, concerts, a lot of entertainment spectacles (dance, theater, circus, music and movies). Because of its superiority of  culture and arts, Sao Paolo is famous namely the mainly capital of Brazilian culture.
The most unique one, Sao Paolo has a big cultural event called Bienal. The event is held every two years. The event is about contemporary art. Bienal has turned into a hallmark in literature and in the Brazilian culture. Besides the great offer of books, Bienal has a comprehensive cultural program, mixing literature, gastronomy, culture, business and lots of fun. The last Bienal was held in 2016 and will be held again at the end of 2018.

Besides Bienal, there is another big event in Sau Paulo named Virada. Virada is an annual festival that focuses on displaying art.

In addition to literature and art. Sao Paolo also has a big event about fashion. Sao Paolo fashion week is the largest in South America and top 5 in the world.

Besides events, Sao Paolo also has a unique place. MASP (the Museu de Arte Moderna de Sao Paulo) is the richest museum of the world placed in Sao Paolo. The museum has a collection and includes more than 4.000 works by artists.

The most unique thing about the Sao Paolo community is that they love football both men and women. According to Daiane Melo, my friend who is a Brazilian, Brazilian women almost always visit the stadium to watch soccer matches.

    Another great post Suci :) I was wondering though, the one in the last picture, is she the one who gave the information? sadly most of the picture comes from internet, I would like to see more of personal pictures :( nevermind though, it surely seems like an interesting place to visit. Maybe one day we can go there and take pictures by ourselves hehe

Andalas University or commonly known as Unand is the oldest and largest campus in Sumatera. In addition, Unand also earned the nickname of the green campus because of its beautiful environment and many trees around it. However, this is inversely proportional to the facts that occur in the field. Water which is the main source of life is difficult to obtain in the Unand lecture building. Every afternoon, students usually queued to take ablutions in the toilet of each building. This queue gets longer because the water is of.
